Job summary

Allied Universal in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Security Officer - Route Operations Rover for full-time shifts. You will patrol a retail location, deter incidents, and provide a welcoming environment for shoppers and tenants, while delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities include regular patrols, reporting incidents, and clear communication with site leadership and responders. A valid driver’s license is required and training is provided.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and unauthorized access, and report observations through established procedures.
• Document incidents, patrol activity, and relevant observations accurately and communicate with site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
