Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead security projects from planning to closeout in New York. You will coordinate across pre-sales, installation, supply, and customer stakeholders to ensure profitability, timely delivery, quality outcomes, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

5 years of project management, construction supervision, or field leadership experience.
Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Experience developing project plans, managing risks and dependencies, and coordinating cross-functional teams in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

Develop the project charter and project plan, define milestones, deliverables, roles, and success criteria.
Align scope, design, and budget with pre-sales; include all cost components for accurate budgeting.
Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints early, then define practical mitigation actions and recovery options.
Conduct customer kick-off meetings, transfer finalized design and documentation to installation and coordination teams, and maintain execution cadence.
Maintain internal and customer-facing trackers, progress reports, and schedule updates reflecting status and next actions.
Proactively manage site readiness, permits, supply issues, and other dependencies with reschedules or alternatives.
Oversee customer-driven scope changes, document impact on schedule and budget, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Complete final documentation, obtain customer sign-off, archive records, and manage surplus equipment returns.
