Johnson Controls in New Jersey seeks a Fire Project Manager to lead fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects across diverse environments. You will plan, execute, and deliver with safety, scope, schedule, and cost control, while focusing on customer satisfaction and quality.

You will set up local project offices, coordinate design, permitting, delivery, and field installation, manage change orders, and ensure on-time results.

Qualifications

• 5 years of installation experience in Fire, Electrical, or Security systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• PMP certification to be obtained within two years of employment.
• NICET Level II to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel and Project.
• Ability to create Excel spreadsheets and macros.
• Frequent local travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects from initiation through closeout.
• Set up local project offices and coordinate scope definition, risk, project methodology, and resource allocation.
• Manage project schedules, costs, safety, quality, and customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate flow from design and permitting through material delivery, labor scheduling, and field installation.
• Facilitate project reviews, status updates, and resolution of project issues.
• Support change order processing and strive to improve project margins.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in line with company standards and customer requirements.
