Job summary

Marksman Security LLC is hiring for a Retail Unarmed Security Officer at Coronado Mall in Albuquerque, NM. This full-time role requires vigilance, professional presence, and the ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities include patrolling, reporting, coordinating with the client, and maintaining safety in public areas. Candidates must have NM Level II Guard License, clean driving record, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be at least 21 to drive company vehicles
• High school degree or equivalent
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
• Minimum 1 year of security experience
• Pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• Extended physical requirements (standing, walking, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle and foot patrols to identify safety and security risks
• Maintain a visible presence and engage with the public professionally
• Document interactions in clear, concise written reports
• Pass on pertinent information to team members and client
• Monitor for suspicious behavior to prevent vandalism or theft
• Warn violators of infractions (loitering, prohibited items)
• Respond to distress calls and alarms by contacting responders
• Identify and report safety and security concerns promptly
• Enforce rules and regulations
• Additional duties as assigned by management

Now Hiring Retail Unarmed Security Officers!

Applicants need to be able and willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays, if needed.

Must have a current valid New Mexico Level II Guard License. Be able and willing to conduct extended foot patrols of the district area up to and including six hours.

Must have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct vehicle, foot patrols of areas in the public right of way to identify potential safety and security risks
• Maintain a visible presence and engage in professional public interactions
• Document all interactions in a clear and concise written report, ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Communicate and pass on all pertinent information to fellow team members, other safety teams, and the client.
• Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
• Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties to be determined by management

• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time !
