Securitas USA is hiring a Retail Security Officer for the Pueblo West, CO area. This full-time role focuses on maintaining a safe environment through access control, patrols, and prompt incident reporting.

Greet clients and visitors professionally, patrol sites, and complete required logs. Candidates should be 18+, have a HS diploma, and be able to travel 25-30 miles as needed. Training and uniform provided.

Responsabilidades

• Greet vendors, customers, and client staff and assist as needed.
• Conduct internal patrols to identify hazards and security violations.
• Monitor entrances and exits and provide guidance to customers and vendors.
• Complete daily activity reports and logs in client systems.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and protect evidence when needed.
• Observe and report incidents to appropriate authorities.

Retail Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Pueblo West, CO

(Open to residents of Pueblo West & Pueblo)

Wage Range: $17.76/HR

Available Schedules

• Sat: 11AM - 11:30 PM ($17.76/HR)

The Retail Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

• Greet vendors, customers, client employee’s, client, and aid as needed.
• Conduct internal patrol when needed to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, and inspects grounds using appropriate equipment / protective gear.
• Monitor entrances / exits and provide guidance to customers, and / or vendors.
• Complete daily activity (DAR), incident reports and logs via Securitas / client systems.
• Provide an atmosphere in which all customers, client employees, client, and Management know their needs are being met.
• Present a good image to client, public, and Management.
• Operates in a calm manner and directs persons who cause disruption to leave property.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others.
• Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to Asset Protection, client, Company Management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and / or as required by the site.
• Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards.
• Carries out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Long periods of standing and walking required.
• Appropriate I9 Identifications needed.
• Must be willing to travel 25 - 30 miles to and from work.
• Must have Day or Swing shift availability.
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
• Must be able to interact with and greet customers, client employees, or client in a positive manner, while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Must be open to communication and feedback from client, and Office Management.
• Must be able to adhere to 15 minute and lunch breaks.
• Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations.
• Must be able to obtain Pueblo Guard Card license out of pocket ($55) and renew it every year.
• In-Person Interview in Colorado Springs required for Pueblo location.
• If hired, must attend new hire orientation in Colorado Springs.
