Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is hiring a Retail Security Officer for full-time shifts in Pueblo, CO. The role involves monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling multiple client sites to maintain a safe environment.

You will enforce client regulations for personnel, visitors, and areas, with emphasis on customer service and professional conduct. Requirements include being 18+, having a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, and the ability to work a swing shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet vendors, customers, client employees, and aid as needed.
• Conduct internal patrols to detect hazards and security violations.
• Monitor entrances/exits and guide customers and vendors.
• Complete DARs, incident reports, and logs via security systems.
• Maintain a positive image with client, public, and management.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate judgment and escalation.
• Protect evidence or scenes and assist in investigations.
• Observe and report incidents to assets protection and client management.

Some sites not accessible by public transportation due to location and/or shift.

Wage: $20.00/HR

Schedule: Wed - Sat: 12PM - 8:15PM & Sun: 12PM - 6:15PM

TheRetail Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Greet vendors, customers, client employee’s, client, and aid as needed.
• Conduct internal patrol when needed to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear.
• Monitor entrance/exits and provide guidance to customers, and/or vendors.
• Complete daily activity (DAR), incident reports and logs via Securitas and client systems.
• Provide an atmosphere in which all customers, client employees, client, and Management know their needs are being met.
• Present a good image to client, public, and Management.
• Operates in a calm manner and directs persons who cause disruption to leave property.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others.
• Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to Asset Protection, client, Company Management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.
• Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards.
• Carries out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Appropriate I9 Identifications.
• Willingness to travel 25-30 miles to and from work.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Understands the nature of customer service and interactions with the public.
• Must have swing shift availability.
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
• Must be able to interact with and greet customers, client employees, or client in a positive manner, while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Must be open to communication and feedback from client, and Office Management.
• Must be able to adhere to 15 minute, and lunch breaks.
• Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations.
• Must be able to obtain Pueblo Guard Card license out of pocket ($55) and renew it every year.
• In-Person Interview in Colorado Springs required for Pueblo location.
• If hired, must attend new hire orientation in Colorado Springs.
