Job summary

FAIRMONT in Scottsdale is seeking a Retail Seasonal Sales Associate to support Christmas at the Princess events. The role operates pop-up kiosks, supports inventory, and cash handling while delivering friendly service in a festive hospitality setting.

The position requires prior retail experience, basic computer and POS skills, and a customer‑focus mindset. Availability for varied evening shifts during the holiday period is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within retail preferred.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications and/or Point of Sales System required.
• Must be revenue driven.
• Must possess a professional presentation.
• Previous Hotel experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Attend to customers in a professional and polite manner while up-selling merchandise.
• Provide basic sales techniques and promote exclusive merchandise to customers.
• All cashiering duties.
• Ensure the shop is neatly maintained and stock is replenished.
• Partake in stock-take and month end inventories.
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.
• Follow all safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Retail Seasonal Sales Associate position is a limited-time opportunity to be part of the magic at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess during our celebrated Christmas at the Princess events. This role operates pop-up retail kiosks throughout the resort and reports to the Seasonal Retail Supervisors, Senior Supervisors, and Retail Management.

• Flexible scheduling: work 3, 4, or 5 days per week


• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service


• Attend to customers in a professional and polite manner while up-selling merchandise


• Ensure the shop is neatly maintained and stock is replenished


• All cashiering duties


• Provide basic sales techniques and promote “Fairmont” exclusive merchandise to customers


• Partake in stock-take and month end inventories


• Ensure the shop is clean at all times


• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards


• Follow all safety policies


• Other duties as assigned

Schedule & Availability

Christmas at the Princess

tentative dates are November 20 – January 4

• Shifts range from 6 to 8 hours


• Primarily evening shifts starting after 3:00 PM, with end times between 9:00–11:00 PM, depending on business levels
