Job summary

Staples in New York (Commack) is hiring Sales Specialists to provide exceptional customer service and help customers find total solutions both in-store and via the kiosk. Training is provided and hiring is immediate, with flexible part-time hours and weekly pay.

Responsibilities include supporting the sales floor, cashiering, merchandising, returns, and other duties as assigned while staying current on technology products and services to offer total solutions to customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and help customers find total solutions in-store and at the kiosk.
• Be flexible with responsibilities (cashier, merchandising, returns, etc.).
• Respond quickly to customer requests and concerns on the sales floor.
• Ensure the Tech department achieves key metrics and profitable sales.
• Create a positive, inviting environment and learn customer tech and needs.

Sales Specialists provide exceptional customer service in helping our customers find a total solution both in-store and through the kiosk. You’ll have our customers’ needs in mind as you provide solutions. You will also be collaborative and inclusive in helping our customers while being part of a fun, team-oriented retail culture. Hiring immediately and training provided.

Essential skills and experience:

Able to work a flexible schedule based on the store’s needs

Demonstrated ability to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs

Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment

Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner

Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information

Ability to lift/move materials in the 10 - 50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously

Preferred but not required: experience selling products or services
