Job summary

Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries, Inc. is seeking a retail associate to deliver high-quality customer service in a busy store environment. You will handle sales, process transactions, and assist customers with product information, pricing, and store policies.

The role requires maintaining store appearance, stocking merchandise, and supporting loss prevention efforts. Strong English communication and the ability to work with diverse customers are essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate/GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
• Ability to work with a diverse staff, customer base, and individuals with disabilities is essential.
• Ability to determine when to direct a problem situation to a supervisor required.

Responsibilities

• Process customer sales quickly and accurately on the cash register.
• Process cash transactions and customer checks, charges and store credits, and accurately balances register drawer.
• Provide customer service by knowing inventory, sale information, store policies and procedures.
• Keep merchandise neat and organized by distributing stock and pulling stock when necessary.
• Assess merchandise and make pricing recommendations to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Maintain an orderly store appearance by cleaning and tidying the store and register area.
• Ensure loss prevention by monitoring dressing rooms and observing customers.
• Answer the store telephone.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
