Job summary

Cash America Pawn is seeking a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate in Houston, TX. You will earn $10.00–$14.00 per hour plus unlimited commission and benefits like earned wage access, employee discounts, and 401(k) auto-enrollment after 6 months.

You will greet customers, assist with sales and pawn loans, process transactions, and maintain a tidy sales floor while adhering to policy and regulatory guidelines. The role supports a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable handling a variety of merchandise, including firearms in FFL locations (certification provided).
• Strong customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Basic math and computer skills; experience using retail checkout systems is a plus.
• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas.
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries.
• Support customers with pawn and short-term loan services by explaining terms, completing paperwork, and ensuring a smooth, customer-focused experience.
• Process sales and loan activity accurately while following company and regulatory guidelines.
• Evaluate merchandise for condition and value to support buying, selling, and loan decisions.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Handle cash and negotiable items responsibly.
• Support store operations, including basic opening/closing tasks.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Complete required training and follow company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
