Job summary

GPM Investments’ Next Door Store in Grand Rapids area is hiring a Cashier/Sales Associate (Store 5068). This full- and part-time role blends quick register skills with making the store welcoming, clean, and safe for every customer.

You’ll greet customers, process transactions, upsell where appropriate, and become proficient in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with age-verification compliance. You’ll stock shelves, tidy the store and lot, assist other departments when needed, and contribute

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Stand for most of the shift; able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused.
• Flexible and willing to cross-train in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and run the register with accuracy and speed.
• Learn lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with age verification compliance.
• Upsell customers when possible to increase sales.
• Keep the store and lot clean and safe, including restrooms and pumps.
• Stock shelves and displays; maintain organization and merchandise freshness.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed and follow safety policies.
• Be a team player and help where needed.
