Job summary

GPM Investments’ ExpressStop store in Schoolcraft, MI is seeking a friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to greet customers, ring up purchases, and help keep the store clean, safe, and inviting for every guest.

You’ll learn lottery, tobacco, and alcohol procedures, verify ages, upsell where appropriate, stock shelves, and assist in deli or other departments as needed while upholding safety and company policies.

This role offers flexibility with full-time and part-time shifts and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Capable of lifting 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Friendly, reliable, and flexible team player.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and operate the register accurately and quickly.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with age verification.
• Upsell customers to increase sales.
• Keep store clean and safe inside and outside, including restrooms and pumps.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh.
• Maintain a clean and organized store; sweep, mop, windows, and entryways.
• Cross-train in other departments, including deli.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and help wherever needed.
