Continental Battery Systems in Louisville, KY seeks a Retail Sales Rep I / Warehouse Associate (Bilingual Preferred) to balance floor sales with shipping, receiving, labeling and inventory control. You will engage customers, process sales, and support warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers a mix of 70% sales and 30% warehouse tasks, with a competitive pay rate and opportunities for growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• AA Degree or equivalent (3.0 GPA preferred).
• Minimum 1-2 years working in Retail and Warehouse roles.
• Advanced knowledge of courteous and safe warehouse procedures, including forklift operation.
• General skill in English composition and math.

Responsibilities

• Assist retail customers and perform battery installations.
• Load and offload vehicles, prepare shipments, and ensure the warehouse is orderly, safe, and clean.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and complete counts.
• Perform battery charging and reconditioning.
• Track regular sales patterns, analyze data for opportunities to grow sales, and jealously guard customers by anticipating their needs.
• Maintain a stocked and clean retail showroom.
• Safely operate manual pallet jacks, ladders, dollies, and light industrial trucks/forklifts.

Job Title: Retail Sales Rep I / Warehouse Associate ( Bilingual Preferred )

Location: Louisville, KY

Pay Rate: $19.50/hr

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time, Non-Exempt (Commonly an 8-hour shift between 7 AM and 6 PM, Monday-Saturday)

General Description A person in this position is responsible primarily for the sales end of the business and retail with about 70% of their time in Sales and 30% executing warehouse tasks associated with shipping, receiving, labeling, loading, inventory control, reconditioning used batteries, and battery maintenance. You will also be responsible for selling goods and providing a positive customer experience on the selling floor, via phone, or email.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• AA Degree or equivalent (3.0 or higher GPA preferred).

• Minimum 1-2 years working elsewhere in a Retail Capacity AND Warehouse role (or 1 year internally at a Level 2 capacity).

• Advanced knowledge of courteous and safe warehouse procedures, including forklift operation.

• General skill in English composition and math.

Physical Requirements Significant physical strength, resilience, and mental alertness are imperative. This is primarily a non-stationary position in a non-temperature-controlled environment. The role requires the ability to lift up to 125 lbs (participation in group lifts for heavier weights) and push pallets/carts.
