Job summary

Portland Leather Goods is seeking a part-time retail team member in Charlotte, NC. You will greet customers warmly, build relationships, and maintain product knowledge while keeping the store neat and well stocked.

You will also handle payments and ensure safety for staff and customers while delivering friendly, clear communication. The role requires weekend availability, prior customer service experience, and the ability to lift merchandise and work on your feet for long shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher
• Must be available to work weekends
• Customer service/retail experience required
• Team player is a must
• Familiarity with POS systems; Shopify experience is a plus
• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Ability to move merchandise with appropriate equipment to and from backroom and sales floor
• Ability to place and arrange items on all shelves and racks
• Ability to climb and descend ladders while carrying merchandise
• Ability to lift 30 pounds or more with assistance
• Ability to be on your feet for a minimum of 8 hours per shift and to continuously move around all areas of the store
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, or balance for a duration of time
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, reports, and information on computer/register screens and input information into computer
