Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a retail associate to serve as the point of contact for customers, assist in maintaining plan-o-grams and programs, stock merchandise, and maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, building displays, assisting customers, and operating the cash register with accuracy. The role requires adherence to safety policies and policies, and a high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills are required.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and move merchandise to stock areas or sales floor.
• Stock shelves, rotate and face merchandise to maintain displays.
• Build displays and restock merchandise as needed.
• Assist customers in locating items and provide helpful service.
• Operate cash register, bag merchandise and handle payments.
• Maintain store cleanliness including front end, stockroom and restrooms.
