Job summary

Dollar General is seeking to hire a store associate to act as the point of contact for customers, stock merchandise, and assist in maintaining plan-o-grams and programs. You will unload trucks, build displays, stock shelves, and assist customers in locating merchandise.

The role includes operating the cash register, handling payments, and ensuring store cleanliness and organization. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with safety and teamwork emphasized across shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to total purchases and bag merchandise.
• Collect payments and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
