Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the point of contact for customers, assist in maintaining plan‑o‑grams and merchandising programs, and stock merchandise to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will unload trucks, build displays, assist customers, operate the cash register, and help with ordering using handheld scanners, all while adhering to safety policies in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Understand safety policies and practices.
• Read and follow plan-o-gram and presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise.
• Build and stock merchandise displays; rotate and face items.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and process payments; bag items.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Greet customers; maintain front end and store cleanliness.
