Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store team member to serve as the frontline contact for customers, help maintain plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and support profitability and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, building displays, assisting customers, operating the cash register, and following company procedures while ensuring safety and cleanliness across the store.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise on shelves.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and operate the register.
• Process payments and bag purchases accurately.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Maintain store cleanliness and comply with policies.
