Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a customer-focused team member for store operations in Wisconsin Rapids. You will unload incoming shipments, stock shelves, build displays, assist customers, and process transactions at the register with attention to accuracy and courtesy.

As part of daily duties, you will help maintain store cleanliness, rotate inventory, and support ordering using handheld scanners. Prior retail or cashier experience is helpful for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and stock/rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in finding items.
• Clean store, restrooms, and stockroom; bale cardboard and take out trash.
• Operate cash register and collect payment, bag items, and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners as needed.
• Greet customers and comply with company policies.
