Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve as the primary customer contact, assist in stock and merchandising, and uphold plan-o-grams and programs to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, greeting customers, operating the cash register, and supporting order placement with handheld scanners. A high school diploma is preferred, with strong communication and safety awareness required.

Qualifications

• Basic cash handling and math skills.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise in the store.
• Set up displays and maintain plan-o-grams.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, and bag items.
• Support ordering with handheld scanners as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety practices.
