Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to handle customer service, merchandising, and cashier duties while stocking merchandise across the store. You will unload deliveries, set up displays, and assist customers in locating items.

The role requires basic math, cash handling, and the ability to read plan‑ograms. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, and follow store policies to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal and oral communication skills are essential.
• Ability to read and follow plan‑ogram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Basic cash handling and mathematical skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes; stock or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and stockrooms.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner; total and bag purchases; give change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean front end and help set up sidewalk displays.
