Job summary

Dollar General is hiring a Store Associate to act as the primary contact for customers, stock merchandise, and maintain plan-o-gram compliance. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, build displays, restock items, and assist customers in locating products. The role requires basic math, cash handling, and familiarity with IBM cash registers.

You will also handle bagging, payments, and change, support with merchandise ordering using scanners, and help keep the store clean and inviting for shoppers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise on shelves or backroom.
• Follow processes to receive, unpack, and store merchandise.
• Build and maintain merchandise displays.
• Stock, rotate, and face products on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise to sales floor.
• Assist customers by locating items and answering questions.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases and bag items.
• Handle payments and make change from customers.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean store front, restrooms, and stockroom; manage trash and dust.
