Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the point of contact for customers and assist in plan-o-grams, stocking, and displays. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, operate the cash register, and help customers locate merchandise while maintaining store cleanliness and compliance with policies.

Strong communication, safety awareness, and basic math skills are required. Prior cash handling and IBM register experience is a plus in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Clean front end of store and set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
