Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the point of contact for customers and assist in maintaining plan-o-grams and programs. You will stock merchandise, build displays, and ensure profitability and customer satisfaction while safeguarding assets.

The role includes unloading trucks, stocking shelves, aiding customers, operating the register, handling payments, and keeping the store clean and orderly. Prior experience in retail cash handling is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise or stock on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers and operate cash register to total purchases.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using scanners.
• Clean store front, sidewalks displays, restrooms and stockroom.
