Overview

The Key Carrying Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards as well as the teammate experience. With the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Key Carrying Lead is the in-store expert of their business/department. The Lead is focused on delivering the best service to our customers as well as providing direction to teammates. Their ability to lead by example, be empathetic, relentless in adversity, optimistic, and collaborative with teammates is how they differentiate themselves.

  • Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours.
  • Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate to build mutual trust, respect, and contribute to the store's recognition culture.
  • Plans, organizes, and controls 30-days out with the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager, including building an effective approach and aligning on workforce needs to execute daily tasks, projects, or store events.
  • Leverages teammates strategically to meet brand standards, execute programs and processes daily, and delegate tasks based on priority.
  • Assists the store leadership team with supervision, including opening/closing the store, performing Front End and Cash Office functions, and processing firearms sales in compliance with regulations.
  • Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards, following established floor sets, signage, price changes, and inventory standards.
  • Assists with training teammates on procedures and programs, including onboarding and cross-training.
  • Maintains company loss prevention standards and controls in their department.
  • Prioritizes coaching and development, providing hands-on coaching and teaching the 'why' behind tasks and processes.
  • Leads by example to support organizational and store vision, helping teammates understand how their responsibilities align with organizational goals and delivering an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Creates an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
  • Adheres to policies related to safety, loss prevention, and confidentiality.
  • Supports the team across the store with an all-hands-on-deck approach.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prior retail sales or customer-focused experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift 15-35 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to work extended periods standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using ladders or platforms.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours).
