Job summary

Chico's FAS, Inc. is seeking an Associate Lead to assist store management in delivering exceptional customer service and driving profitability. The role involves supervising sales associates, handling cash, and ensuring smooth daily store operations on the sales floor and stockroom.

The position emphasizes coaching, performance communication, and adherence to visual standards, promotions, and loss prevention. Some travel within the district may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Minimum 2 years prior retail or sales management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
• Able to travel to stores throughout the district.
• Ability to lift and move 50 pounds, stand and walk on sales floor and stockroom.

Responsibilities

• Promotes customer service by ensuring associates greet and assist customers; responds to inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Performs cash handling, price changes, merchandise handling, and open/close duties; reviews payroll docs for accuracy.
• Monitors associate sales activities and productivity; communicates performance and provides coaching to achieve targets.
• Maintains awareness of customers to increase service levels and manage security risk; follows payment and exchange policies.
• Keeps up-to-date on sales, promotions, and merchandising standards; displays merchandise accordingly.
• Supports receipt and dispatch of inventory and supplies per company policy.
• Supervises associates in sales, inventory receipt, and cash handling; prepares weekly schedules within guidelines.
• Models sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers and locate merchandise.
• Builds and maintains a customer following via clienteling and wardrobing.
• Maintains standards in merchandising, loss prevention, and other duties as directed by Management.
• Engages in visual merchandising directives including store sets and replenishment.
• Assists in developing store associates; interprets KPI reports and delivers coaching as needed.
