Overview

The Key Carrying Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards as well as the teammate experience. With the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Key Carrying Lead is the in-store expert of their business/department. The Lead focuses on delivering excellent service to customers and providing direction to teammates. Key qualities include leading by example, empathy, resilience, optimism, and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  1. Supports building and hiring a strong team through interviews and department tours.
  2. Builds a people-first culture by connecting with teammates to foster trust and respect.
  3. Plans and organizes store activities 30 days out with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager, including workforce planning and executing daily tasks, projects, or events.
  4. Leverages teammates strategically to meet brand standards, execute programs, and delegate tasks based on priority.
  5. Assists with store supervision, including opening/closing, Front End and Cash Office functions, and firearms sales compliance.
  6. Upholds merchandising and presentation standards, including floor sets, signage, pricing, and inventory management.
  7. Trains teammates on company procedures, onboarding new employees, and cross-training.
  8. Maintains loss prevention standards and controls.
  9. Focuses on coaching and developing teammates, teaching the 'why' behind tasks and processes.
  10. Supports a store environment that is inclusive, welcoming, and respectful for everyone.
  11. Adheres to safety, loss prevention, and operational policies; maintains confidentiality.
  12. Supports the team across the store as needed and performs other tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications
  1. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  2. Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.
  3. Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift 15-35 lbs., repeatedly.
  4. Ability to work extended periods standing or walking, and at heights with equipment.
  5. Ability to perform repetitive motions for short durations.
