Job summary

Soma is seeking a Sales Lead for the Westfield Old Orchard store in Skokie, IL. You will partner with store leadership to supervise the team, model brand standards, and create memorable, personalized customer experiences that reflect Soma's culture of hospitality.

You will coach, schedule, and support operations, including cash handling, inventory, and replenishment, while maintaining a welcoming, customer-centric environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years retail management experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Team player mindset with ownership and initiative.
• Flexible availability—nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist store leadership with general store operations, including opening and closing responsibilities.
• Share brand priorities, initiatives, and messages with store teams.
• Lead by example on the sales floor with product knowledge and omni-channel approach.
• Provide coaching and feedback to keep the team on track with performance goals.
• Execute merchandising, scheduling, cash handling, and inventory management tasks.
• Create a positive work environment through teamwork and engagement.
