Take your first step into leadership as a Retail Sales Lead! You'll earn $22.50 per hour (Base of $18.50 plus bonus of $4.00+ per hour) while developing future leaders. You will model and promote a WOW Customer Experience-focused selling culture, providing leadership and support to meet or exceed sales and profitability goals. You will exemplify, maintain, and foster the mission and values of Road Runner Sports. In partnership with the store's leadership team, you will lead by example across all performance areas including the WOW Experience, Fit Zone, and KPI Metrics. This position reports directly to the Retail Store Manager.

What you'll get to do
  • Maintain a positive attitude and be receptive to feedback.
  • Ensure a branded store experience through visual standards and recovery.
  • Support and develop a high-performance team through coaching and recognition.
  • Deliver a WOW customer experience and ensure visual and engagement standards.
  • Create a culture of recognition and accountability to drive sales and KPI results.
  • Analyze business trends using reports to identify opportunities and take action.
  • Implement omni-channel and customer loyalty initiatives.
  • Assist with team attendance management and labor planning.
  • Oversee visual merchandising in collaboration with the management team.
  • Address employee concerns and support inventory and operational routines.
  • Maintain a safe work environment with ongoing safety training.
  • Coach selling behaviors supporting the WOW Experience and commitments.
  • Be flexible with scheduling, including nights, weekends, and irregular hours.
  • Conduct Quality Reviews and new hire training.
  • Lead store opening/closing and sales floor in the absence of the Store Manager.
Your qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree and 1+ years leadership experience preferred.
  • Leadership experience in a fast-paced retail environment preferred.
  • Strong customer service, urgency, attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
  • Effective communication skills in verbal and written formats.
  • Openness to feedback and adaptability to change.
