Job summary

The Salvation Army Store in Spearfish, SD is seeking a reliable store associate to help with stocking, pricing, cash handling, and customer service. You will keep shelves full, assist customers, and support management in daily operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED; retail or cash-register experience is a plus but not required. Ability to lift 50–75 pounds and work in a retail environment is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure shelves and clothing racks are full and organized to promote sales.
• Assist management with pricing items and merchandising.
• Process merchandise efficiently following store standards.
• Stock racks, shelves, counters, and tables daily.
• Learn and train on the processing system and cash register.
• Maintain a clean store environment, including displays.
• Set up displays and arrange merchandise to promote sales.
• Drive store trucks for pickups of donated goods when needed.
• Wrap and bag merchandise for customers.
• Provide courteous customer service in line with The Salvation Army mission.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
