Job summary

The Salvation Army Store in Spearfish, SD is seeking an entry-focused associate to sort and stock donated items, assist with pricing, and operate the cash register when needed. You will maintain clean displays, help customers, and support the management team in daily operations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with or without prior retail or cash register experience. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Retail and/or cash register experience preferred, but not required.
• Must pass all applicable background checks.

Responsibilities

• Make sure shelves and clothing racks are full and organized to promote sales.
• Assist management with pricing items for sale as needed.
• Process merchandise efficiently following established standards.
• Stock racks and shelves daily to promote sales.
• Learn and train on the processing system and cash register.
• Maintain a clean store environment including shelves, counters, and tables.
• Help set up displays and arrange merchandise to promote sales.
• Drive store trucks for pickups of donated goods when needed.
• Wrap and bag merchandise for customers.
• Provide good customer service in line with The Salvation Army’s mission.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
