Kelley’s Market is looking for Retail Sales Associates to assist customers and keep our convenience store running smoothly in Rockford, IL. You’ll provide friendly service, handle cashier transactions, stock shelves and coolers, and help maintain a clean, welcoming store.

Earn $15–$18 per hour with an additional $3 for overnight hours (10 p.m.–7 a.m.). Benefits include medical/dental, vision, FSA, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Provide friendly, dependable customer service in a busy retail environment.
• Communicate clearly and work effectively with team members and store leadership.
• Use basic math skills to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
• Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand for extended periods, frequently lift up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work in coolers, freezers, and outdoor conditions.
• Obtain an alcohol sales operator license where required.

Responsabilités

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Operate the cash register and point‑of‑sale system, process purchases and refunds, and handle cash accurately.
• Answer questions about products, prices, and promotions.
• Stock and organize shelves, coolers, freezers, and merchandise displays.
• Keep the sales floor, restrooms, and exterior areas clean, including fuel pumps and the car wash where applicable.
• Maintain clean, stocked Kelley’s Café food and beverage areas and follow food safety procedures.
• Complete shift paperwork and assist with cash and safe reconciliation.
• Follow safety, security, and cash‑handling procedures.
• Communicate customer concerns, equipment problems, and other issues to store leadership.
• Work with your team to keep daily store operations running smoothly.
