Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Indiana is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to deliver friendly customer service, operate the register, and help keep the store organized and welcoming.

You will work 25 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Paid training is provided, with ongoing coaching and a team-focused environment to support daily sales and mission-driven programs.

Retail Sales Associate

Pay: $13.50 per hour

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and jump in where needed, while creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Help open, close, and balance the register as assigned
• Restock merchandise and keep displays neat and easy to shop
• Help sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals

• Experience using a point of sale system
