Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Auburn, Indiana is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service, keep the store organized, and jump in where needed to create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

This part-time role is 25 hours per week, includes evenings, weekends and holidays, with paid training on the register and ongoing coaching from store leadership.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide friendly customer service and a welcoming store experience.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math and computer skills for register transactions.
• Experience with a point-of-sale system is a plus.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and jump in where needed, while creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Help open, close, and balance the register as assigned
• Restock merchandise and keep displays neat and easy to shop
• Help sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
