Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You will greet customers, process sales, balance the register, restock merchandise, and keep displays neat to create a welcoming shopping experience for donors and shoppers.

The role offers $13.50 per hour with weekend/evening shifts as scheduled, as well as paid training and opportunities for on-the-job coaching within a mission-driven team that supports community programs.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and jump in where needed, while creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You Need

Required

• Ability to provide friendly customer service

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift

• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day

• High school diploma or currently pursuing

Preferred

• Previous retail, cashier, customer service, or thrift store experience

• Experience using a point of sale system
