Saint Luke's in Lee's Summit is looking for a dedicated individual to oversee the functions of the gift shop. This PRN position requires managing retail operations and training volunteer staff while ensuring inventory control and financial tasks are performed efficiently.

You will assist in purchasing merchandise and train volunteers on procedures, particularly during busy periods, ensuring the gift shop and storage areas remain organized.

Job Description

Oversee all functions of Saint Luke's East Hospital gift shop. Responsible for retail operations and volunteer staff. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform inventory purchasing, pricing, merchandising, marketing, inventory control, financial functions, vendor relations and volunteer staff training. Must be able to oversee and assist when necessary all Gift Shop and Gift Cart volunteers.

This is a PRN position with hours increasing during the holiday season.

• Assist in purchasing merchandise.
• Check in merchandise. Submit invoices for payment. Keep track of back orders.
• Train volunteers on gift shop procedures.
• Participate in Gift Shop Meetings with volunteers. Know the inventory levels.
• Assist in Gift Shop during busy periods of the day.
• Keep Gift Shop and storage areas organized.

Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year.
