Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Washington Twp MI is seeking a friendly, dependable Retail Sales Associate for a part-time role. You will greet customers, process sales, and help maintain organized displays to create a welcoming shopping environment for customers and donors.

Training is provided with paid sessions on register procedures, plus ongoing coaching from store leadership. The 24-hour per week schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, offering opportunities to build retail

Qualifications

• Friendly customer service is required.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift; ability to bend, reach and lift merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately.
• Open, close, and balance the register as assigned.
• Restock merchandise and keep displays neat and easy to shop.
• Help sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized.
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals.
