The Spice & Tea Exchange in Lexington, VA is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate to welcome guests, assist with product recommendations, and help maintain a warm, inviting retail environment.

You will learn about our spice blends and teas, assist with blending and packaging, and support the Tea Bar by making and serving to-go beverages. Flexible hours, weekend/holiday availability, and customer-focused teamwork encouraged.

Qualifications

• A passion for food, flavor, and making others feel welcome.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-first attitude.
• Comfort using point-of-sale systems and basic technology.
• A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Retail, restaurant or other service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every guest with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Engage with customers to ask the right questions and make personalized product recommendations.
• Become an expert in our unique spice blends and teas to share product knowledge with confidence.
• Assist with store displays, restocking, and maintaining a clean, organized retail environment.
• Cross-train to help with blending and packaging our small-batch gourmet products.
• Make & serve to-go tea beverages at our Tea Bar.
