Job summary

Sun Tan City in Fort Dodge, IA is hiring for a friendly salon associate. Bring strong customer service and basic computer skills to help clients choose tanning services and products, while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring clients' needs are met and treated professionally.
• Engage with clients, build relationships and understand/meet their needs.
• Make recommendations for tanning services and products.
• Maintain minimum sales requirements and contribute to a fast-paced salon environment.
• Multi-task by cleaning beds between clients and assisting arriving clients.

Task and Responsibilities

• Basic Computer skills and knowledge.
• Provide excellent customer service by ensuring all your clients’ needs are met and are treated professionally.
• Engage with clients by building good relationships and understanding and meeting their needs.

• Maintain the minimum sales requirements.
• Multi‑task such as cleaning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients upon their arrival.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of salon tanning rooms, lobby area, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
• Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat and fast‑paced salon environment while upholding all company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
• Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
• Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors.-li>
• Perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
• Work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
