Job summary

Visionworks of America, Inc. is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate/Optical Specialist in Deptford, NJ to deliver exceptional customer experiences and guide patients through selecting eyewear and vision care solutions.

You will be trained on optics, products, and vision care services, helping customers find the right eyewear with a friendly, confident approach. This role emphasizes sales goals, product knowledge, and attentive service in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1 Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Visionworks and ensure the best journey for every patient and customer.
• Train and be knowledgeable about optics, products/services and managed vision care.
• Guide patients through the Visionworks experience and meet eyewear needs simply, humanely and boldly.
• Meet daily sales goals by delivering excellent Customer/Patient Experience.
• Engage with patients/customers and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Measure patients for eyewear and maintain product/optical knowledge through training.
• Execute daily store operations including restocking, merchandising and order fulfillment.

Pay Class: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.49 - 17.57 / hr

Responsibilities

• A Visionworks Optical Specialist/Retail Sales Associate is the very face of our business and is dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient and customer.
• This person is trained and knowledgeable about optics, our products/ services and managed vision care.
• The Sr. OS personally takes the patient/customer through the Visionworks experience ensuring their eyewear needs are met in a simple, human and bold way.
• Delivers daily sales goals by ensuring the best execution of the Customer/Patient Experience journey.
• Engage with patients/customers and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Measure patients/customers for their eyewear and maintain product/optical knowledge through continuous training and development to ensure eyewear is Right the First Time.
• Execute day‑to‑day operational activities to support the store's financial and customer experience goals including restocking inventory, merchandising, and order fulfillment of eyewear to ship.
