Job summary

Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation is seeking a Sales Associate to help deliver an exceptional shopping experience. You will assist customers, answer questions, and keep the sales floor and stockroom well-organized.

Responsibilities include helping customers, answering inquiries, recommending products, and maintaining store cleanliness and stock levels in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview

Sales Associates play a key role in deliveringan exceptionalshopping experience for every customer. Responsibilities include assisting customers throughout the store, answering questions, and ensuring a well-organized sales floor and stockroom.

Primary Duties

• Provide excellent customer service andassistcustomers throughout the store
• Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
• Recommend products and suggest add-on sales
• Checking and retrieving merchandise from stockroom as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor
• Performs or may performadditionalduties as assigned by management and supervision

Position Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Strong communicationand interpersonal skills
• Mustpossessbasic organizational and/or applicable math skills
• Detail-oriented and reliable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of sporting goods is a plus
