Wear the red vest. We'll teach you the rest.White's is an independently owned Ace store, run by the White family since 1977. In all three of our stores, we greet customers right away, ask what they're working on, and stay with them until they have a real answer.# What you'll doMost of your day is spent helping customers with their projects. Ask what they're working on and walk them to what they need instead of pointing to an aisle. You'll help across hardware, paint, lawn and garden and the rest of the store, and take your turn at the Helpful Hub. Between customers, stock shelves and keep the floor ready.# Who this work suitsYou don't need to know every product on day one. You do need to like helping people work through a project and be willing to say \"let's find out\" when you don't know. Hardware knowledge helps; curiosity and follow-through matter more. If you'd rather spend less of your day with customers, ask us about our support roles.## What We Offer* **Paid holidays.** Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. We also close at 5 p.m. on Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.* **A real employee discount.** 15% off regular-priced items, and cost plus 3% on anything $50 or more, for you and the family you live with.* **Raises you can see coming.** A pay review every year, based on customer service, operations and training goals posted in the breakroom.* **A team bonus twice a year.** When your store hits its sales growth target and its goals, the whole team shares in it, up to two weeks' pay.* **Retirement savings.** A SIMPLE IRA with a company match of up to 3% of your pay once you qualify for the plan.Pay reviews, bonus, paid time off and benefits begin after your first 60 days.
