Job summary

Dollar General is hiring for a store associate to act as the primary customer contact, maintain planogram compliance, stock merchandise, and assist with checkout. You will greet customers, help locate items, and support merchandising and display efforts across the store.

The role involves unloading trucks, restocking, cleaning, and using handheld scanners to assist with inventory and ordering. A high school diploma is preferred and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-grams and presentation guidance.
• Basic cash handling and math skills are required.
• Experience with IBM cash registers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive merchandise.
• Stock and face merchandise on shelves; rotate items.
• Build and maintain displays; restock recovered items.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answer questions.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, and bag items; handle payments.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using scanners as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; greet customers.
