Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store associate to act as the primary contact for customers, stock and stock displays, and operate the checkout. You will unload trucks, receive merchandise, and help customers locate items while maintaining store standards and safety.

The role involves handling cash, balancing registers, and supporting merchandising programs. A high school diploma is preferred, and candidates should be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; store or stock on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating items.
• Greet customers and operate cash register to total purchases and give change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners when needed.
