Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Friendswood, TX is seeking store teammates who are passionate about helping customers and delivering an exceptional shopping experience. You will greet customers, uphold merchandising standards, promote programs, and support the team to ensure safety and inclusivity.

This role requires standing and walking for extended periods and lifting up to 15–35 lbs as needed, in a dynamic retail environment. Prior retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Golf industry experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods.

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.

  sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment standards, etc.

• Promote company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales,

  private label credit card enrollment, etc.).

• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.

• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customer) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.

• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior retail experience preferred.

• Golf industry experience preferred.

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).

• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.

• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
