Job summary

The Children’s Place in Wayne, NJ is hiring a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals through excellent customer service, product knowledge, and effective selling techniques.

You will maintain merchandise presentation, replenish stock, and keep the store and backroom clean and organized while adhering to safety standards. A high school diploma and at least 18 years old are required; retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency to assist customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers with appropriate service level.
• Communicate value and promotions and offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Apply selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and explain the PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow merchandising standards for presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat and safe, maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping and protect company assets per Loss Prevention.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and facility needs.
• Contribute to store goals with focused efforts.
• Be flexible by processing stock when needed.
