Job summary

The Children's Place in Nottingham, MD is hiring a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals and delivering excellent customer service. You will maintain merchandise presentation, replenish stock, and ensure a clean backroom and store environment.

You will greet customers, answer questions, process transactions, and promote current promotions. A High School diploma and retail experience are preferred, with flexible weekend and shift availability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous retail experience preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service
• Effectively communicate value and quality of merchandise while sharing promotions and offer solutions for out of stock items
• Exercise sound judgment in addressing customer concerns
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display
• Support a neat, clean stockroom and a customer-ready environment with safety compliance
• Perform daily housekeeping and protect company assets per loss prevention policies
• Inform Store Leadership team of maintenance and facility needs promptly
• Contribute toward store goals with focused efforts and flexibility to process stock
• Exhibit flexibility by processing stock when necessary
