Job summary

The Children's Place in Hayward, California is hiring a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team and deliver outstanding customer service. You will assist customers, maintain product knowledge, and ensure merchandise presentation is clean and fully stocked.

You will handle cashwrap duties, learn promotions, and contribute to achieving store goals in a fast-paced retail environment. Candidates should be at least 18 years old with a friendly, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing current promotions and offer solutions for out of stock items when necessary.
• Exercise sound judgment in effectively addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap while educating customers on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow company standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Support neat, clean, organized stockroom and customer-ready environment; adhere to safety requirements.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standard.
• Guarantee company assets by adhering to Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform Store Leadership of maintenance needs to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Contribute focused efforts toward achievement of store goals.
• Exhibit flexibility by processing stock when necessary.
