Job summary

Goodwill Retail is seeking a friendly team member to serve customers, ring up sales, and maintain clean, organized aisles. You will help customers in-store, on the phone, and via other channels while supporting merchandise placement and security practices.

Responsibilities include accurate cash handling, continuous customer assistance, and upkeep of the sales floor. This role requires basic math, endurance for shifts, and a neat appearance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and GGW associates.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all of our customers.
• Ability to settle customer complaints.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift).
• Ability to bend and lift up to 40 pounds frequently.
• Basic working knowledge of computer applications and the internet.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional and courteous service to all customers inside the store, outside of the store, and on the phone.
• Assures merchandise is placed on the sales floor in a timely manner.
• Able to ensure items are rung accurately on the register.
• Demonstrates accurate cash handling skill to include but is not limited to making change, operate and maintain the cash register, check and charge card machine, and use of a calculator.
• Keeps floor merchandise neat and orderly (racks, shelves, bins, and hangers) and assists customers with purchase selections.
• Maintains clean professional appearance.
• Perform general housekeeping responsibilities to include: store upkeep duties as needed to include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping shelves, and dusting (including restrooms and dressing rooms).
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
