Job summary

The Children's Place in Chelsea, MA is hiring a Sales Associate. You will support the Store Leadership Team to meet company goals, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain product knowledge and presentation.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, communicating promotions, processing transactions at the cashwrap, and keeping the stockroom organized. This role requires a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Retail experience is preferred but not required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Explain value and quality of merchandise and share current promotions; offer solutions for out of stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment and courtesy.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact store conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, accurate service at the cashwrap and explain benefits of The PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes/styles are represented.
• Follow visual merchandising standards and signage.
• Keep stockroom neat and organized; maintain a customer-ready environment and adhere to safety rules.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Protect assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Report maintenance needs to Store Leadership promptly.
• Contribute to store goals with focused, well-managed effort.
• Handle stock processing as needed.
